On May 22, 2025, 3is project, represented by Yenesew Belew and Asmamaw Workneh participated in the Erasmus+ CBHE Cluster Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Hosted at the Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia, this in-person gathering brought together stakeholders from across Ethiopia to exchange experiences, reflect on challenges and impact, and explore pathways for strengthened collaboration and sustainability in higher education.

The meeting provided a dynamic platform for project testimonies and success stories from CBHE projects spanning diverse Ethiopian universities, including Addis Ababa University, Bahir Dar University, Debark University, and many others. The interactive structure of the event, including dedicated networking sessions, fostered rich dialogues and laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives.

For the 3is project, the outcomes were substantial. The meeting enhanced the project’s visibility and advocacy, enabling strategic networking and establishing contacts for potential collaboration within the Erasmus+ CBHE framework. Furthermore, engaging with EACEA policy officers and advisors opened new channels for dialogue on digital tools, sustainability, and best practices.

As the 3is project continues its mission to strengthen higher education in Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya, the experiences and connections forged in Addis Ababa will catalyze deeper cooperation and lasting impact.
