We got the 2025 Global Education Award!
The 3is Project has been awarded the 2025 Global Education Award in the Transformative Pedagogy category by the Global Citizenship Foundation, in recognition of its impactful contribution to the Education Sector. This achievement highlights the project’s role in reimagining higher education systems across Eastern Africa by making them more inclusive, innovative, and responsive to societal needs.
At the core of this recognition is the project’s commitment to transformative pedagogy, redefining how teaching and learning take place. Through a series of high-impact workshops and collaborative activities, the project has equipped universities with tools to adopt student-centred learning, inclusive curricula, blended and digital education models, and stronger links between academia and community realities. These interventions have already enabled institutions to develop action plans that improve access for marginalized learners, enhance teaching quality, and align education with labour market and societal needs.
As part of this recognition, the 3is Project received a verifiable digital credential on the blockchain, along with an official certificate of award. This digital badge securely validates the project’s achievement and reflects its commitment to excellence, transparency, and innovation in education. The award marks an important milestone in the 3is journey and reinforces its legacy as a model for inclusive and transformative higher education systems globally.
Youthmakers Hub, the partner responsible for Communication and Dissemination, played a central role in receiving this award. The announcement was made at the 2025 Global Education Awards Conference on Thursday, 13th November, 2025.
